Mikki McBride is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Health and Wellness Coach. Mikki’s approach to therapy is patient, non-judgemental and integrative. She believes in treating the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of well-being, personalized to each patient’s needs.

With over 25 years of experience, Mikki’s patient-care philosophy is realistic and motivational and approaches individual therapy through an eclectic model which allows her to customize treatment based on her patients’ individual needs. Mikki enjoys implementing various treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, Mindfulness and Integrated Health and Wellness Coaching.  She offers counseling for children, adolescents, adults, families and couples, focusing on building purpose, connectivity, and having a meaningful existential experience. Mikki specializes in working with patients experiencing ADHD, Autism, Trauma and Anxiety.

Graduating from Bellevue University and the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Mikki has a diverse professional background, including working with major mental health issues, addiction, the juvenile justice system, research, and child welfare. One of her passions, working with children and teens, emerged from her work at Boys Town and with the Lancaster County Youth Service Center.

Outside of her professional life, Mikki enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, dancing, photography and crafting. She actively participates in community advocacy groups as well as philanthropic work throughout the community. As a mother, she understands the impact of mental health on families, of balancing work and family life and also women’s health.

Mikki focuses on helping her patients to understand the importance of physical health, and of hormone balance and its impact on overall mental and emotional wellness.  Collaboration with other healthcare professionals at Alivation Healthcare ensures comprehensive care for her patients.  She stays updated on the latest developments in mental health through continuing education, research involvement and community involvement.  As a clinician, Mikki provides support, encouragement, and education in order to help her patients build skills they can use both in and out of sessions.  She provides a therapeutic environment that encourages personal growth through gentle empowerment and increasing awareness of self.
