Dr. Moldawsky is Board Certified in adult psychiatry and has spent most of his career delivering frontline psychiatric care.  He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.   He completed his psychiatric residency at Temple University Hospital.

He held a joint appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.  He then became a psychiatrist at Kaiser Permanente in southern California, the national pioneer in delivering integrated health care.   There, he treated countless patients with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders.  Over his almost 40 years there, he also served in several administrative positions, led the hospital bioethics committee, taught colleagues and students, and published some original research.

Dr. Moldawsky is a firm believer in the collaborative model of care;  he strives to be mindful of what psychiatry’s limitations are, as well as its strengths.  He and his wife moved to Lincoln in the spring of 2023 to be close to their daughter and her family.
